Kudos to First Night Montereys Twilight Parade & Jamboree Team, led by Terry Soliz, Marsha Kelly, Holly Goodwyn and Kathleen Harrison. Our tenth anniversary sparks the beginning of many new additions to this years New Years Eve Parade. The biggest change is that the parade will be going in the opposite direction. Staging area will be the same at Colton Hall but the beginning will be at the Calle Principle working its way toward Del Monte turning on to Alvarado and winding its way back to the staging area. Staring time stays the same at 5:30 pm.
Another huge addition to the Twilight Parade will be the Jamboree after parade at Colton Hall on Pacific Street. The Twilight Parade Jamboree will be another opportunity for parade participants and spectators to have a more hands on and up close look at parade floats. It will also be a chance for Parade Judges to make their final decision before announcing winners at 7:15.
This year parade units include marching bands, clowns, street performs, First Night Outreach projects, lions, giant puppets, stilt walkers, more music, more dancers, more cars, and more floats. If you, your family or group want to be a part of this years Songs of the Seas Twilight Parade contact Terry Soliz at 373-4778.
And thanks to this year sponsors including Granite Construction
